Good afternoon everyone......it is 1:00 PM here and no one has posted????

My granddaughter, Kyleigh is here and my grandson, Lucas (Kyleigh's brother) was here yesterday. They sure cheered me up. We had a great time together!!

I got a call this morning. I am second on the list for an apartment!!!!!! They said if he looks at it and decides not to take it I will be called. If not I will be #1 for the next opening. I cried and thanked God over and over!!  This is the place I wanted to go the most. I will keep praying!!

Need to go now but will check in again later.

Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Prayers for many in need...special prayers as well.

Love and lots of hugs.....connie d

Good afternoon Connie and OFF-

I've been lurking in and out all morning but didn't want to start the thread.

Connie I am swinging chickens and send vibes to the #1 guy that he doesn't like the apartment and that you get it!  If not being number 1 is also terrific!  Soon, soon!

Not much new here in Maine.  Finished sandwiching two baby quilts yesterday.  I will be able to work on them while traveling.  Car is partially packed but today it's raining so I'm taking it easy and just reading a book that I have to return to the library tomorrow.  Got a load of laundry to do which I will start soon as it appears that the rain will stop soon.  My washer and dryer are in the guest cabin so have to walk outside to get to them.

The leaves are definitely (spelled it right Vickie) down now with the rain.  Everytime I go outside I track leaves back into the house.  Oh well, nothing I can do about that.

Spent the morning printing articles about wind farms in Maine.  I belong to a group that is fighting a wind farm that could end up within 3/4 of a mile from my cabins.  They have asked me to write some reviews about recent articles so they can be posted on the group's website.

I did a fair amount of unmindful eating two days ago but got back on the wagon yesterday.  Today I'm trying real hard not to fall back off.  It's just so darn easy to slip back into those bad habits.  I have meals planned for my remaining time here.  In fact I'm going to have to throw out food or take a cooler with me so I can take the leftovers to my Mom's house.

So glad the government shutdown is over for a while.  That was really driving me nuts.  Several of my Fish and Wildlife friends were furloughed and starting to go crazy, they wanted to work but had been instructed that they could be fired if they showed up at work.  Anyway, they're happy and when the next one comes in January I'll be living on the Refuge.  They allowed the volunteers to stay on the Refuge, they just couldn't work.  I'll be in the middle of the book project going to completion so it shouldn't drive me nut, if it does, I'll just take a trip somewhere or knit or quilt like crazy.

Positive thoughts to all of you.  Trish glad you got your new computer.  Judy congrats on your surgiversary!  Vickie hope Mom liked the place you took her to today.  Judy hope you Mom is doing better.  Jennifer you're in my thoughts.  Piney I think you came very close to my summer home when you came to pick up your AT hiker.  Ok back to reading the book.

Thanks Cindi for the swinging chickens and good vibes!! I so want this apartment situation to work out.

Glad you got a couple more baby quilts worked on yesterday. Packing a car is such a pain...hope it goes well for you. Did you finish your book? Now you have reviews to write. You are so busy all the time.....lucky you....I couldn't handle all that.

Hugs and love....connie d

Hi Connie and my OFF family:

Sorry haven't posted much lately. Not much in the mood. Kinda tired and rung out. Yesterday I had PT in the morning, then went shopping and got home and had to sit on hold with the Louisiana Dept. of Motor Vehicles for a good 20 minutes before I got to talk with a person. Then I had to leave a message for the person I needed to talk to. She called back and we wrangled for a while over the problem. What a mess! Still not sure we got it ironed out.

Connie, hope you get the apartment.

I didn't sleep all that well last night. Had leg cramps. One in particular in my right leg on the inner thigh. The therapist tried to work it out yesterday. It still is so contracted and tight.

I'm so tired today and face a long night at work with Friday night football.

Anyway, have a good day everyone.

Aloha Eileen....How I understand your frustration over being on hold for way too long! Having sold your car and then having the new owners cra**** has to be beyond belief. It is a nightmare. Sounds like you have finally found the people who can help you get past this....you should have no problem with ownership.......and responsibility. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

ALOHA friend......I cannot understand all of your travels.......I have become such a stay at home person. I know that some people need to be on the go........my mother was such a person, but where I am in my life........I just love staying home and enjoying my surroundings.

Enjoy what gives you pleasure........and especially your little munchkin. Also, take care of yourself.

Aloha nui loa,
